On the 30th of September 2026, Prof. Dr Laura Seelkopf gave a talk at the University of Tokyo (UTokyo) titled "The Politics of Gendered Taxation."
Following the workshop organised by LMU’s Japan Centre in June, the Munich delegation’s visit to Tokyo from 28 to 30 September 2026 formed the second part of the collaboration between the two universities on the topic of “Demography and Democracy in Ageing Societies.” The project focuses on the question of how demographic change is transforming politics and democracy in ageing societies.
