Research Interests

  • Svea’s research interests lie at the intersection of Political Economy and Social Policy, with a particular focus on taxation and labour market policy.
  • In her doctoral thesis, Svea explores why governments either hinder or promote women’s labour market participation through their tax systems. Beyond the connection between tax policy, gender, and labour markets, Svea is also interested in the economic and cultural ideas that shape tax systems.
