Cybersecurity and Digital Governance

Governing the digital domain and securing cyberspace are public concerns, but often private tasks. Firms that control platforms, cybersecurity infrastructure, and innovation networks are thus placed at the center of policy-making. They are often able both to directly lobby public institutions and to shape the agenda, constraining the options available to policy-makers. This project explores how business power interacts with institutional frameworks, regulatory environments, and democratic norms.
